Share Market Highlights: Nifty ends above 19800, Sensex up 300 pts; Bank Nifty above 45650, NTPC, Bajaj Finance gain

Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices made new all-time highs on Wednesday and ended the session broadly in green. Now, the Nifty 50’s new all-time high is 19,851.70 and Sensex’s fresh 52-week high is 67,171.38. The NSE Nifty 50 soared 83.90 points or 0.42% to close at 19,833.15 and BSE Sensex gained 302.30 points or 0.45% to 67,097.44. In sectoral indices, Bank Nifty jumped 258.45 points or 0.57% to 45,669.30, Nifty FMCG rose 0.33%, Nifty PSU Bank skyrocketed 1.95% and Nifty Media soared 1.13%. The top gainers on Nifty 50 were NTPC, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, UltraTech Cement and Bajaj Finserv while the losers were Hindalco, HeroMotocorp, TCS, Bajaj Auto and Maruti Suzuki.    Live Updates

Benchmark indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex made new all-time highs again today and ended Wednesday’s trading session broadly in green. “Despite the current high levels, domestic investors have hardly lost confidence in the Indian economy. It is experiencing a broad-based rally strengthened by encouraging domestic macroeconomic data and sustained inflows from FIIs. Although there was some initial profit booking today, the market confidently recovered, with buying observed in all major sectors except auto and IT. Additionally, the global market is providing comfort to the rally, in anticipation of moderation in global inflation, “ said Vinod Nair, Head of Research at Geojit Financial Services.

Netweb Technologies’ IPO, valued at Rs 631 crore, opened for subscription on July 17 and was fully subscribed in the first few hours of opening for bids. So far, on Day 3 today, the IPO has been subscribed 26.2 times. Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) subscribed for 27.30 times of their reserved portion, demonstrating high interest in the issue. The portion for retail investors has been overbooked as investors bid 14.25 times of the shares reserved for RIIs. The NII portion has been oversubscribed 52.59 times so far. The IPO will close for subscription today. The employees bought 35.11 times the portion reserved for them.

Adani Transmission jumped 1.88% to Rs 798 today following the release of the company’s Q1 business update. The Adani Group firm revealed that it had successfully secured three smart metering projects during the quarter. Adani Transmission stock has fallen 2% in the last one month and over 70% in the past six months.

“The overall undertone of the Bank Nifty remains bullish, suggesting that the trend is likely to continue. A key support level is observed at 45000. The next major hurdle for the index is placed at 46000. If the index manages to surpass this level, it may indicate further upward momentum towards the target level of 46400,” said Kunal Shah, Senior Technical & Derivative analyst at LKP Securities.
