The JobI love that every day in PR is different. One day we could be planning an event for a client at Madchatter, and another day brainstorming a go-to-market campaign strategy. I love weaving communications as a tool that is built closely with business problems. While media relations is a critical aspect of what we do, it’s equally important to spend time staying abreast about the latest trends in media and content creation. That takes precedence to stay ahead of the curve and recommend the right roadmap to brands that work with us.
The WeekdaysMadchatter works in a hybrid format and most of my weekdays start with focusing on some quality time with my pets and catching up on the week’s priorities in the first few hours of the day. I schedule my week across different business functions like business development, finance, HR, client deliveries, project management, etc. I take time out in the afternoons to catch up on reading long-form content from myriad sources — newsletters, oped pieces, news pieces, books etc. to keep my thinking cap active. I typically end work between 6:30 pm and 7 pm and mentally check into my personal time.
The ToysI’m a gadget minimalist. My iPhone and Apple Watch keep me satiated for all needs.
The LogosSome of the brands that I actively seek out are The Whole Truth Foods for their authenticity and community engagement, Apple for its ability of storytelling and bringing its ethos to the fore and Zomato for its zany copy and moment marketing skills. This year, Barbie and Mattel were undeniably at the top of creating one of the largest marketing blitzkriegs ever and this will have a very long-lasting impact on consumers’ minds.
