Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma found himself in the limelight after a video of him playing an Iron Maiden song on the guitar went viral. Sangma’s guitar performance took place at the Roof Top Cafe in Tura on December 26 as part of a reunion of his college rock band ‘Saga.’ Sangma had been a member of the band during his college days in Delhi, PTI reported.
The video, shared on Instagram by Sangma, garnered attention on social media platforms. Sangma captioned the post, “Another rocking night … iron maiden this time…”
Iron Maiden’s ‘Wasted Years’ marked the 14th single release from the English heavy metal band and was the first track from their ‘Somewhere in Time’ album, released in 1986.

Earlier this month, Sangma shared another video on Instagram, jamming with the rock band Colours, describing them as “one of the best bands I have played with.”
The Mahindra Blues Festival, now in its 13th year, has played a pivotal role in “putting the blues genre on the global map.” According to the festival’s website, it is “one of the largest blues festivals in Asia.” The festival is hosted at an iconic 70-year-old Bollywood studio and is scheduled for February 10 and 11, 2024.
