Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices ended Tuesday’s session flat. The NSE Nifty 50 rose 8.25 points or 0.04% to close at 19,680.60 while BSE Sensex dipped 29.07 points or 0.04% to 66,355.71. In sectoral indices, Bank Nifty fell 78.05 points or 0.17% to 45,845, Nifty FMCG tumbled 0.86% and Nifty PSU Bank tanked 1.46% while Nifty Auto soared 0.95%, Nifty Metal surged 2.94% and Nifty Pharma gained 0.36%. The top gainers on Nifty 50 were Hindalco, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement and NTPC while the losers were Asian Paints, ITC, Larsen & Toubro, Britannia and Kotak Bank.Live Updates

Benchmark indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended Tuesday’s session on a flat note. The Nifty 50 rose marginally by 0.04% or 8.25 points to close at 19,680.60 while the Sensex dipped 29.07 points or 0.04% to settle at 66,355.71. In sectoral indices, Nifty Bank fell 0.17%, Nifty FMCG slipped 0.86%, Nifty IT fell 0.28%, and Nifty PSU Bank slipped 1.46% while Nifty Auto gained 0.95%, Nifty Pharma rose 0.36%, Nifty Media jumped 1.51% Nifty Metal soared 2.94%.

15:04 (IST) 25 Jul 2023 Bajaj Auto stock falls 1% today after Q1 results announcement; Net-profit jumps 42% to Rs 1,665 crore on-year

Bajaj Auto share price fell 1% to Rs 4,831 today after the company announced its Q1 results. The company’s standalone net profit rose 42% on-year to Rs 1,665 crore for the quarter ended June 2023 compared to Rs 1,173 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations jumped 29% to Rs 10,310 crore in the first quarter, compared with Rs 8,005 crore in the same quarter of last year. Bajaj Auto shares have gained nearly 5% in the last one month and over 20% in the past one year.

ITC share price tanked 3.17% to Rs 455.95 today, extending the previous session’s losses after the company said that it would demerge its hotel business, separating it from its cigarettes and food businesses. ITC will incorporate the wholly-owned subsidiary ITC Hotels Ltd, if the board approves the demerger during its meeting on August 14. After the demerger announcement on Monday, the company’s stock fell 4%. Meanwhile, ITC stock has gained 3% in the last one month and over 50% in the past one year. Jefferies, JM Financial and Motilal Oswal recommended a ‘Buy’ call on the ITC stock.

Nuvama and HDFC Securities recommended a ‘Buy’ call on the TVS Motor Company stock while Motilal Oswal and Antique Stock Broking recommended a ‘Neutral’ and ‘Hold’ rating, respectively. Investors need to be mindful of cuts in stock prices if eventual outcomes on earnings fail to match up with expectations. The PSE Index however exhibited keen interest from participants as several of its constituents rose on the back of likely inclusion in the MSCI as well as new clean energy orders,” said S Ranganathan, Head of Research at LKP securities.
