iQOO 9T, the brand-new phone from Vivo spin-off brand iQOO, is geared for ultimate performance on the back of Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip. The phone starts at Rs 49,999 for a version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. While we work on our full review, here’s a quick first look at the OnePlus 10T challenger. The phone is roughly based around the same blueprint as the iQOO 9 Pro. iQOO is continuing its partnership with BMW M Motorsport, the BMW AG subsidiary known for its high-performance cars and so one of the models of the iQOO 9T comes in white and features BMW M’s iconic tri-colour racing stripes logo on the back. It’s unsurprisingly called the Legend edition. There’s also a black or Alpha edition available. The camera assembly has been tweaked a bit with a new dual layered glossy surface that has a Kevlar-like finish surrounding the phone’s three sensors. This gives the phone a distinct dual tone look. 3/10The iQOO 9T, like the iQOO 9 Pro, has a back made of matte glass and a metal frame. The phone weighs a bit about 207g adding a solid heft to it. There is no ingress protection. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)
/10The iQOO 9T has a 6.78-inch 1080p resolution E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling, and hole punch cut-out. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)
/10iQOO is using a 10bit panel with peak brightness of 1500nits. It supports HDR10+ playback. Biometrics are handled by an optical fingerprint scanner. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)
/10The phone is equipped with Vivo’s V1 Plus “Intelligent Display chip” that’s said to optimise colours and offer 90 FPS gameplay on 60 FPS games through interpolation. It also aids in improving low-light photography. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)
/10Under the hood, the iQOO 9T has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. This is non-expandable. (Photo credit: Saurabh Singh/Financial Express)
