In 2024 , it is believed that the prioritisation of personalised learning experiences is poised to take centre stage. Ed-tech platforms emphasise crafting customised learning journeys, guaranteeing that each learner’s educational path is individually tailored to address their particular requirements. Another emerging trend anticipated to gain traction among ed-tech platforms in 2024 is the incorporation of nano-learning. By dissecting complex subjects into more manageable, bite-sized modules, learners can effectively comprehend and remember information, Akshay Munjal, founder, CEO, Hero Vired, told FE Education. “In India, online learning will gain more popularity in tier-2 and 3 markets. Additionally, Indian educational providers will extend their offerings internationally to facilitate the adoption of emerging skills,” he said.Experts believe that 2023 has paved the way for embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled learning and 2024 is poised to be the year of collective upskilling, enabling educators to harness the potential of AI. “This collective upskilling aims to empower educators with the tools to comprehend each student’s individual learning needs, interests and styles. It will also enhance their ability to generate high-quality content swiftly,” Ravi Bhushan, founder, CEO, BrightCHAMPS, said.
There is a significant 44% disruption in skills within the next five years, according to the Future of Jobs Report 2023 from the World Economic Forum. This underscores the pressing need for professionals to swiftly adapt to the evolving landscape.
Experts anticipate that AI will play a pivotal role in generating content that clarifies mathematical concepts using history, biology or even languages as a backdrop in the coming year. This innovation is poised to cater students with a profound interest in these subjects, offering a more integrated and engaging learning experience. “It is expected that advanced AI learning tools will become sophisticated. These tools will be able to talk with students and ask them questions that make them think about their ideas or opinions. The goal is to help students reconsider any ideas or biases they might have learned from their surroundings, encouraging them to think more openly and critically,” Bhushan explained.
